The CITA Political Action Committee is responsible to organize and oversee the collection of VOTE/COPE contributions, support NYSUT endorsed candidates at the federal and state level, election of members to the Central Islip School Board, the passage of school budgets, and to collaborate with other labor organizations.  Other responsibilities include the development of political awareness and how it affects our profession and lobbying efforts in Albany concerning school funding and education-related legislation.
