What we do:
TEPS serves to solidify the CITA's role in preparing teachers and helping members to maintain their high standard of professional preparation. Among the roles of the committee:
- Coordination of the New Member Program
- Represent CITA at Curriculum Committee
- Provide workshops for professional growth and development
- Disseminate information to CITA members regarding professional organizations, workshops and conferences
- Monitor professional development activities offered by NYSUT and AFT
- Represent CITA in structuring district professional development and curriculum writing projects
